From November 5th to 8th, C.D. Wälzholz presented its wide range of products at the 11th Blechexpo Trade Fair in Stuttgart (Germany) in a very innovative way. With Augmented Reality and the new CDW App, high-tech materials can really be experienced directly at the stand – from the smallest stamped part to the massive oscillated wound coils weighing tons. The visitors were absolutely fascinated by the possibilities to discover application examples and parameter ranges of different steel strip structures by simply using their Smartphones or Tablets.
This extraordinary way of depicting CDW’s material solutions had an additional positive effect on talks with customers and prospective buyers. During the gourmet breakfast in the morning or the get-together in the lounge in the evening, there were lively discussions about the advantages of the CDW products and their application possibilities. And the extension of the Service Center in Taicang, China, towards a full production plant was in focus, too. This step is an example for C.D. Wälzholz’s consequent strategy of internationalization. CDW can now offer its customers in Asia steel strip products in the usual high quality based on an international network of development and production processes.
The fact that there were almost 33,000 trade visitors from 96 countries and 1,153 exhibitors from 32 countries shows the international acceptance of the Blechexpo. This is also reflected in C.D.Wälzholz’s positive assessment of the fair.
We are already looking forward to welcoming our guests at the next Blechexpo, which will take place in Stuttgart again from November 3rd to 6th, 2015.
